I'm Back (and Plus One!!)

After taking a blogging hiatus is December, I am officially back to the grind and ready to share everything with you all once again!

So where was I?  Well, a couple places, or rather, I was busy doing a couple things...for starters:

Yes, 100% officially cooking a new bun in the oven and we couldn't be happier about it.   Since many of you that read this are moms, you get it.  That first trimester exhaustion is enough to knock anyone out...then throw in a toddler constantly on a mission and a super busy holiday season and hubs starting a new job...I was down for the count.  I wasn't sick at all with O, but round two has not been so gracious.  It has been constant throw up in the mouth, exhaustion that requires I nap when O naps (my only real "downtime"), horrible nightmares that make me literally terrified to fall asleep at night, needing to pee constantly once I do manage to get to sleep, the constant congestion...oh and I got the flu not once, but twice in December, which is especially cool when you can't take the proper meds.

BUT, it's all one million percent worth it.

Answers to a few FAQ's I've gotten recently:

Yes, we planned it.
I don't do surprises well.  We wanted children at least 2 years apart, and O has been showing signs of major independence, so we knew it was the right time.

No, I don't know what I'm having.
I will find out soon, though, because, again, I don't like surprises.
I'm excited to just find out and start planning, and I can't wait to be able to call this one by a proper name!

I'm 14w2d.
That's 14 weeks and 2 days along.  My due date was July 8th, but my NT scan bumped me up to July 4th.  Firecracker baby.

Yes, we have names.
I'll share more on that later.

We're not moving, yet. Not necessarily, at least.
Many of you know we have been house hunting lately.  We were looking to invest in a new house mainly because of the low interest rates and home prices.  It's going to be really hard to leave this house.  Our current house is incredibly comfortable and convenient and since moving O to his big boy room, we have an empty nursery.  So, in short, we're in no rush, but will buy when the perfect house pops up.  I am, admittedly, a relators worst nightmare because I am SO picky.

Exciting, slightly scary times, on the horizon in this house...Thank you all for joining me on this new adventure!
